Six talks of ten minutes each. No questions. No slides.

(In Hindi, SlidesBina means ‘Without Slides’)

Ever since storytelling has gone digital, presentations by slides have been integral to the talks. The role of slides and best practices around doing presentations on stage is well discussed and documented.

SlidesBina (In HIndi: Without Slides) is an experiment to do a tech event which includes a series of small storytelling sessions on design and technology, without the use of slides.

10 Minutes. No Q&A. No Slides.

Each session is of 10 minutes. After three talks, there is a break for refreshments when the audience can interact with the speakers.

After a 15 minutes break, the next set of three speakers present for 10 minutes each.

So, the SlidesBina structure is:

  • 30 minutes for first 3 talks
  • 15 minutes Q&A
  • 30 minutes for next 3 talks
  • 15 minutes Q&A

90 Minutes in total.

PLUS the time scheduled for food or any refreshments.

A stage is not required.

The audience sits on the rugs, carpets, or mat, and not on the chairs. Specific individuals can request for a chair in advance, such as if advised by their medical condition.

The event happens in the evening.

All the audience of any Outcome program whether of 8Knorks or of our annual conference is the audience of SlidesBina.
